Today, OHHS faculty and staff wore our “Fight Like a Devil” shirts to surround our own Amanda Hildebrand with love and encouragement as she continues her fight against breast cancer. This photo is a reminder that she is never alone—she is supported by a school family that believes in her strength, her courage, and her heart. We’re with you every step of the way, Amanda. ❤️🎀🖤

Here are a few snapshots from our Christmas party yesterday! 🎄✨ We were thrilled to welcome 8 local Deaf visitors to celebrate with us. It was a wonderful experience for our Deaf students and for those learning ASL — so much connection, laughter, and real-world practice. 💛🤟 #OAKstrong

This week, we're thrilled to spotlight incredible senior ✨Danielle Parsons!✨

Born and raised in Mt. Hope, WV, Danielle Parsons is known for her determination, strong work ethic, and compassionate heart. She pours her all into everything she does, always willing to go above and beyond for others and lend a helping hand whenever she can.
Danielle is a multi-sport athlete, excelling in both volleyball and basketball. Outside of sports, she loves to read, spend time with her family and friends, and make memories with her two nieces, Zemira and Ka'Leigha, who absolutely adore her. She also cherishes every moment with her boyfriend, Jay Bess, the love of her life. Danielle shares an especially close bond with her mother, Beverly—the two consider each other best friends. Beverly says, “I don’t know what I would do without her.”
After graduation, Danielle plans to attend BridgeValley to study sonography, excited to begin a career centered around helping others. She is supported by her siblings, Hanna and TJ Parsons, and loved at home by her two dogs—Wrenlee, her boxer, and Macie, her yorkie—who mean the world to her.
Danielle’s kindness, dedication, and love for the people around her truly set her apart. Her future is bright, and she is more than ready to make her mark.

Directions to the Dance: From Rt 19, take the Glen Jean exit, then turn left toward Glen Jean. Turn right onto Thurmond Road, go about 253 feet, and you will see the Guard Shack and gated entrance - students will need to tell the guard what event they are there to attend. They will then proceed through gate on Jack Furst Drive. There will be signs directing you to Fork in the Road Diner. At the stop sign, you will take a left and proceed on the dirt road until you come to Fork in the Road. All side roads will be coned off to prevent wrong turns.  The building will be located on the right, and you will pull straight into the lot. The entrance is clearly marked. We're excited to see you all in your Snowball finest! ❄️

Unfortunately, with weather inconsistencies and other circumstances, we were not able to produce a finished product for the community to see. Therefore, we must cancel our winter performance. However, there will be a chance to see the band and choir in performance at the Oak Hill Christmas Parade Thursday evening. Stay tuned for more details!
