Come out this evening and cheer on our Volleyball team as they compete in a tri-match! ❤️🏐🖤

A huge thank you to guest speaker Jay Young of Iron Arch Photo for visiting our junior aerospace students! Jay—who has been featured in National Geographic and is the only approved drone photographer for Bridge Day—shared his expertise on everything from photo composition, editing programs, file management, and twilight photography to FAA drone laws (plus a few epic drone crash stories). Students were so engaged they kept him in a half-hour Q&A afterward! We are especially grateful he took time out of busy Gauley Season to inspire our class. Thank you, Jay! ❤️🖤

🇺🇸 Oak Hill High School is honored to receive a United States flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol, generously sent to us by Senator Shelley Moore Capito. This special flag will serve as a daily reminder of our shared history, unity, and the bright future ahead for our students and community. Thank you, Senator Capito, for this meaningful gift! ❤️🤍💙

🎉 We are so proud of OHHS seniors Sophie Allen and Landon Gibson for being named National Merit Semifinalists! 🎉
This recognition places them among the top academically talented students in the nation. Out of more than 1.3 million juniors who entered the competition by taking the PSAT/NMSQT, only about 16,000 earn the distinction of Semifinalist.
Sophie and Landon now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, which will be awarded in the spring. 🌟
Please join us in congratulating these outstanding Red Devils on their incredible achievement! ❤️🖤

Our Girls Soccer team takes on Nicholas County at home tonight - let's pack the stands and show them some love! ❤️⚽🖤

A big thank-you to Corporal Korey Spears for visiting our aerospace class last week! He shared how law enforcement uses drones in the field, as well as how he runs his own business, SkyShield Photography, specializing in property photography and videography. Students got a crash course in federal drone laws and procedures—and even had the chance to fly his professional-grade drone. It was an unforgettable experience (Natalie C. even called it her favorite day of aerospace ever!). We appreciate Corporal Spears volunteering his time, expertise, and generosity in giving our students this hands-on learning opportunity! ❤️🖤

Let’s help our upperclassmen discover the many paths open to them after graduation! #onreddevils

On this #WonderfulWednesday, we’re excited to shine our Senior Spotlight on the incredible ✨Noah Tyler!✨
Noah is a hardworking senior at OHHS and FIT. He has found his passion at Fayetteville Fire Department, working as a Jr., and volunteering countless hours at the department over the past two years. He has completed as much training as possible, especially enjoying rope rescue. He hopes to become a professional firefighter during college.
Noah has remained focused academically, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and is a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend WVU Tech to study engineering after graduation. He has always loved planes, trains, and automobiles - the older the better. He is currently working to restore his 1964 Chevy C10 and a couple of Farmall Tractors.
Outside of school and the fire department, Noah is very active in his church and loves spending time with his family. You will likely find him off exploring the mountains and rivers of WV, usually with his best girl Luna, his goofy German Shepherd. Noah has a bright future ahead and is excited to see what opportunities await him. ❤️🖤

🚨✨ Academic Spotlight! ✨🚨
Our 12th grade Civics students in Mrs. Toney’s class recently took on the challenge of “Build a Government Shark Tank Pitch.”
After studying the political philosophies of John Locke, Thomas Hobbes, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and Montesquieu, students worked in teams to design their very own government models inspired by these big ideas. 🏛️
The final step? Pitching their governments Shark Tank–style to their classmates, complete with persuasive arguments, creativity, and teamwork. 💡🦈
We are so proud of our seniors for their critical thinking, collaboration, and innovative presentations! 👏 #CivicsInAction #AcademicSpotlight #OHHS
