We want to remind you of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors at MTHS. Pursuant to West Virginia Code §61-7-11a, it is strictly prohibited for anyone to carry weapons on school property, including during extracurricular events, regardless of whether the individual has a permit to conceal carry.
This policy is enforced to ensure the safety of everyone on school grounds. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to this regulation during all school-related activities.

Scheduled Events for Fridays Home Opener!

Student council ballots for high school are in your student's email. One ballot is for class officers, and one is for student body president. They can vote till 8/27/2024 at 4pm.
8th grade parents, mum orders and payments are due to Ms. Gerwig tomorrow morning.
High school nominations for student council are being taken starting on 8/21/24 at 7am till 8/22/24 ending at 4pm. It is in your student's email.
All mum orders and payments are due by 8/23 for the 8th grade fundraiser.
Midland Trail High School wll be distributing devices tomorrow, August 16, 2024. If your student did not return a computer/charger last year, they MUST bring it to show proof when their appropriate grade is called. If not, you will receive a bill from FCBOE. Each student will need to check in with the tech department regardless of their device status.
In addition, any AUP that has not been submitted (6th grade and new enrollees) must be submitted before a device is provided. These forms should be brought to the tech department when the appropriate is called.
Due to new West Virginia State Law, all athletes and parents must be made aware of the Cardiac Emergency Response Plan. Athletes and parents must sign off that they have received the cardiac response plan before they can practice. Please be on the lookout for preseason team meetings. If you have not received training before the first practice, you will have to accompany your child to their first practice to receive the training.
There will be a social night for all incoming 6th graders and families on Tuesday, August 6th from 4-6PM at Midland Trail High School.
This free event is your chance to meet up friends and make back-to-school plans, tour the school, play games, meet the Principal, and grab some shaved ice from Aurora Ice! Stay the whole time or stop in for some shaved ice on the go!

Any student that still has their computer, this includes virtual students, needs to return to the school by Friday, May 24.
Reminder the sports awards ceremony will be tomorrow May 15th starting at 12:30. Parents are welcome to attend.
Food trucks will be available Monday 5/13/25. You must bring their own money. Most trucks range from $5-$10
