This is for Juniors and Junior parents. There will be a prom planning meeting on Wednesday, 9/13/24 at 5:30 pm.

This is for 8th grade parents/guardians. Your student received a letter from school this week about the 8th grade trip on 5/3/24. The total cost is $200. The first payment to hold your spot is $50 due by 9/29/23. Please send the payment in an envelope marked with your student's full name and have them give it Mr. Crouch. Checks need to be payable to MTHS PTO. Thank you.

Nominations for Student Council is now open for grades 6-12 until 9/8/2023 at 3pm.

There will be an optional informational science adventure school meeting for parents/guardians of any students who are planning to attend science adventure school on Thursday, September 7th at 5pm in the learning center.

6th grade parents and students, Science Adventure School is quickly approaching! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to spend 4 days with your classmates at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. They will be participating in activities such as archery, rock climbing, biking and much more from September 12-15!

This if for students from the Valley area: Bus 1523 will not be running tomorrow August 24th.

We need to do a plan B for bus 2103 tomorrow August 24th in the morning and afternoon. Midland Trail morning pick up will be two hours later than normal. Bus 2104 will be getting them. Midland Trail evening run will need to be dismissed at 1:00. Ed Alfing, bus 1630 will be taking them home.

This message is in regards to the computer and technology insurance. These forms were returned to MTHS, however parents/ guardians must go online to the address on the bottom left of the form to enroll. We returned those forms sent to MTHS home with your student. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you.

All beginning of the year forms are by Wednesday 8/23/2023. High School turns them into their home room teacher. Middle School turns them into their first period teacher. Thank you.

Why Attendance Matters!



This it for all High school students. There will be an activity day from 12-2 tomorrow August 17. This is to celebrate the start of a new school year. Cherry on Top and Aurora coffee will be on location for students to purchase food with their own money. There will be rock climbing wall and other activities provided. We hope your students have a terrific school year.

Fayette County will be offering accidental damage, loss and theft coverage for student computers this year. The forms will be sent home at the beginning of the year.


Attention 6th grade students and families!


There was an error in the English grades for 9 and 10 grades from WVIES 2.0. Corrected grade cards have been mailed. The correct grade card is dated 6/6/2023.

Graduation Ceremony update: Canopies will be permitted along the top row of bleachers and around the track from the turns and around the back side of track on the visitor side. Canopies are not permitted to be in place until Noon tomorrow to prevent saving seats. These guidelines will be strictly enforced.

We are monitoring the weather forecast for graduation tomorrow. We will proceed with graduation outside, however, if it is storming during time of graduation we will postpone the ceremony until the precipitation minimizes to a light rain or drizzle. Please plan accordingly. We will keep everyone aware of decisions as we monitor the situation.

Good evening bus 2340 John Stone's bus will be on Plan B for Friday May 19 2023. Bus 1510 (Dave Woods) bus will be doing Plan B on both the morning and evening runs. Students will be picked up approximately 1 hour later in the morning and will leave the school at 12:30 in the afternoon to bring the students home. Thank you and have a good evening.
