Four Oak Hill Middle School 8th graders have become a part of West Virginia history by being awarded the Golden Horseshoe. This award is presented annually to students who excel on the Golden Horseshoe test. Congratulations to Isabella Smith, Gunner Meadows, Maxton Carter, and Skylar Miklos. You are to be commended for your hard work. Congratulations!

Middle school students who participate in extracurricular activities have something special and the OHMS band is no exception. After a year of practice and dedication we are proud to announce that 6th and 7th grade band received an excellent rating and 8th grade received a good rating. You should all be proud of your accomplishments!

Congratulations to the Oak Hill Middle School track team for their win in the Fayette County meet. Top female score went to Makynlee Lewis and top male score was awarded to Avery Helton!

Out of 17 teams, the girls track team placed first and are our Southern WV champions!!! Way to go, ladies!

It's a great day to be at the baseball field!

56 students have already signed in late today. Our instructional day starts at 7:15am. If your child is not in class, ready to work at 7:15am, they are tardy. Please help us to get students to school on time. Just 5 minutes late daily equals 3.4 days of missed instruction annually, while 30 minutes daily results in over 20 days lost—more than a full month.

It's report card day!

Oak Hill Middle School proudly recognizes Mike Nowlin as our Service Person of the Year. Mike’s dedication, reliability, and genuine care for our school community set a shining example of excellence in service. Every hallway, classroom, and common space reflects his commitment to creating a safe, welcoming environment where students and staff can thrive.
More than just maintaining our building, Mike brings positivity and pride to our school every day. His friendly attitude, willingness to lend a hand, and attention to detail remind us all of the difference one person can make through hard work and heart.
We thank Mr. Nowlin for his outstanding service and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor. Oak Hill Middle School is a better place because of him.

Attention 8th Grade Students! It's that time...Get your baby picture and ad in the yearbook before it's too late. All submissions are due by March 20th.
