Honor Grads 2026

Midland Trail High School proudly recognized the academic achievements of its Class of 2026 Honor Graduates during the annual Honor Graduate Breakfast held Monday morning at Hawk’s Nest State Park. The special event brought together some of the school’s highest-achieving seniors for a morning of celebration, reflection, and recognition as they prepare to cross the stage at Commencement.

The Honor Graduate Breakfast serves as a meaningful tradition at Midland Trail High School, honoring students whose dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence have distinguished them among their peers. During the event, students were recognized according to their academic distinction and presented with honor stoles to wear during graduation ceremonies.

“Today is about celebrating the incredible hard work and determination these students have shown throughout their high school journey,” said Richard Petitt, Principal of Midland Trail High School. “Achieving honor graduate status requires years of discipline, focus, and resilience. We are proud of each of these students and excited to recognize their accomplishments.”

Students earning the distinction of Summa Cum Laude, the highest academic honor, included:
Jacob Ewing, CJ Ford, Kennady Hanshew, River Holstine, Victoria Horrocks, Emily Isaacs, Ben Kenney, Bradin Ortiz, Kyndal Parsons, Mark Persinger, Baily Pierson, Avery Preast, Kaylee Skaggs, Jodie Ward, Saelyr Wilson, and Kelsey Workman.

Students earning Magna Cum Laude distinction included:
Erica Anderson, Rowan Bostic, Ava Bragg, Mackenzie Chaffin, Alex Miller, Wyatt Moses, Zander Ooten, Cruz Tompkins, and Isaac Walls.

Students earning Cum Laude distinction included:
Bree Barnhouse, Greg Cramer, Faith Critchley, Nevaeh Hall, Shyann Holcomb, Nate Lesher, Brayden Moore, Sarah Pritt, Alexis Stanley, Ryan Stephens, Jayden Walkup, Max White, and Carly Withrow.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Hawk’s Nest State Park, the breakfast offered students an opportunity to celebrate alongside school leadership and reflect on the journey that brought them to this milestone. The event highlighted not only academic excellence, but also the character, perseverance, and leadership these students have demonstrated throughout their time at Midland Trail.

As the Class of 2026 prepares for Commencement on Friday evening at Patriot Stadium, Midland Trail High School celebrates these exceptional students and the bright futures that lie ahead.
